This blog was created as part of the course work requirements of the Educational Specialist (Curriculum and Teacher Leadership) degree at LaGrange College, LaGrange, Georgia. The supervising professor was Dr. Becky Alexander. The Ed.S candidate is Mark D. Veon. The blog focuses on two specific tasks: First, to share the contents of an interview held with the principal of the candidate's school; and, second, to create a detailed review of case law related to a particular area of interest within the law as related to education. Regarding the law review, the candidate chose to review special education law since his wife is a long time teacher of students with exceptionalites.
The law related to special education is particularly complex and often seems to promote conflicting ideals; however, it is an interesting an ever-developing concern within the legal system.
